The Lovely Alison Coleman organised a Bring and Buy sale to help raise funds for Sophie. She set up "Sophie's Shop" in her summer house. Many kind people donated unwanted clothes, shoes and handbags. Which were arranged in the summer house for visitors to look through and buy leaving a donation for Sophie.
On the night there was also a fantastic raffle with great prizes. Everybody had a fab evening and the rain didn't dampen the mood.
We would like to say a big thank you to Alison and Jon Coleman who put so much hard work into the night and raised a massive £530 for Our Sunshine Sophie's Fund.
We cant thank you both enough x X x

Today we were back at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Sophie had more xrays of her spine. The good news is there hasn't been a change since the last xray. Sophie's spine is still curved at 57 degrees. The spinal surgeons are hoping to put Sophie's surgery back to 12-18months time. But they will be seeing her in December for more xrays to keep an eye on how fast her spine is curving. Sophie also had a lung function test that seemed to go well and she was also casted for a new back brace as she has out grown it again. Which we hope to collect soon. We will keep you posted on any new news.

Sophie recently went to Great Ormond Street Hospital for back xrays. The results were that her back as now curved to 57 degrees. The doctors think her back brace isn't really working any more and have said that Sophie will need major spinal surgery. We are all very scared and worried especially Sophie who is a very frightened little girl at the moment. We are back at hospital in July to find out more about the op we will let you know how we get on.

Well it happened ! Sophie had a fall in July and broke her ankle. She was in a lot of pain at first and found it so hard to get comfortable but as the weeks have passed she has got use to her cast. Sadly it has meant spending her summer holidays stuck in her wheelchair. She has been very bored at times. To cheer her up we bought a bunny named Panini. It put a smile on Sophie's faced and she is the most loved rabbit ever. Next week we are at Great Ormond Street Hospital to see if Sophie's back brace has slowed down the curve of her spine. Please pray with us that it has as if not the next step is major spinal surgery. I will update you on this when we return.
Sophie's Grandad Colin is running the Great North Run to raise funds for Sophie and Rainbows Children's Hospice. We really need you help ! Can you sponsor Colin?

Sophies been going though a bit of a rough time recently. She has suffered from a lot of falls which have left her with a lot of aches and pains, her powerchair has broken and she had a very near miss because of it. And to top it off she is now having breathing difficulties which we are waiting for her specialist to investigate.
Sophies grown out of her back brace now and will be reciving her new one next week. Shes doing so well managing to wear it for 10 hours a day. Although she is finding it difficult with this hot weather.

Our Sunshine Sophie
The relauch of Sophies website. It has been a busy few months but Sophies website is know up to date and has been given a new name.
http://www.oursunshinesophie.com/
We felt this name said it all about our beautiful princess. You will still be able to find us with the old name so dont worry.
Sophie know wheres a back brace for 10 hours everyday as her spine has curved to 47 degress. We are praying that the backbrace will slow down the curving as the next option will be surgery. This is something major we wish to put on hold for as long as possible.
We have two new events planned. We are holding a raffle for a PartyLite Hamper on the 22nd May. Please see are event page for more details on how to get your raffle tickets.
Also Sophies grandad Colin is running the Great North Run in September. Money rasied will be split between Sophies fund and Rainbows Childrens Hospice. We really need you hel, if you can sponsor Colin please get in touch. Together we can make a difference for Sophie and all the hundreds of sick children at Rainbows Hospice.

Sophie has now finished year 3 and enjoying her summer holidays. She came home at the end of term with a fantastic school report. With all she goes through and has to deal with each day to be doing so well at school is fantastic, and we are extremely proud!
Sophie has been have problems with her eyes as her eye muscles are weakening she is struggling to focus. So she is now wearing glasses throughout the day, which she has taken to very well.
On the fundraising side of things we still have a list full of equipment that Sophie needs but unfortunately the NHS don't provide. Sophie is ready for some new special shoes to wear over her splints which cost £300.
She really needs you all now to show your support! You can help raise these much needed funds by registering and doing your Internet shopping through easyfundraising.
